Hello fellow sufferers.
Whether you’re male or female and have been diagnosed with, or believe you have, a groin fungal infection or a bacterial overgrowth in the groin, the following is one type of treatment for this odor-causing condition.
Whatever you believe or don’t believe you have, please see a dermatologist or microbiologist about your skin condition.
Note: This method should work for men and women.
First, these are what you’ll need:
* Your favorite soap, preferably antibacterial or antifungal
* Cotton balls or Q-tip swabs
* Bragg’s “Mother” Apple Cider Vinegar
* 100% pure tea tree oil
* Apple Cider Vinegar dietary supplement capsules
Using the above items, try this after bathing or showering twice a day if you don’t plan on leaving your home that day:
1. Thoroughly clean the effected area, preferably with antibacterial or antifungal soap. Then make sure you thoroughly dry the area; using a fan works well for me.
2. Using a cotton ball or Q-tip swab, apply some Bragg‘s Apple Cider Vinegar directly onto the effected area twice a day. Avoid applying it on broken skin, as it will sting. Bragg’s brand with “Mother” on the label is preferable. Most stores sell it.
3. If you like, you can also mix some 100% pure Tea Tree Oil with the vinegar. Tea Tree Oil also kills fungus.
4. For additional treatment, you can also buy Apple Cider Vinegar dietary supplement capsules. Most labels will direct you to take two capsules daily, preferably with food.
Again, if you need to leave home and you’re worried about the pungent smell of the Tea Tree Oil, it would be better if you only applied the above treatment when you know you’ll be home. (The scent of vinegar dissipates quickly.)
Note: Instead of the above treatment, you can use an antifungal cream (found on Amazon.com) on the affected area twice a day after a bath or shower. If there is no noticeable difference in two weeks, then try the treatment above.

But if you need to leave home for a while, the following list includes things you can do to cover up your groin odor. I’m pretty sure this preparation will benefit both genders.
First, these are what you’ll need:
* Your favorite soap, preferably antibacterial or antifungal
* Swan or Caladryl brand calamine lotion, non-medicated and unscented
* Cotton balls or Q-tip swabs (or you can simply use your fingers to apply the calamine lotion)
* Desitin brand 13% zinc oxide diaper rash cream (it’s unscented)
* Tinactin or another brand of antifungal spray powder (such as Walmart brand Equate, which is cheaper)
* (Optional) Baby powder or any other type of powder
The following is what I do before leaving home. It’s time-consuming but worth the effort:
1. Thoroughly clean your groin, preferably with antibacterial or antifungal soap. Thoroughly dry the affected area; use a fan if necessary.
2. Using your fingers, a cotton ball, or a Q-tip swab, liberally apply calamine lotion onto the entire groin area. It’s preferable to use regular calamine lotion and not the medicated kind because the medicated has a loud scent and doesn’t dry the skin as well as the regular. The only brands I use are Swan and Caladryl Calamine Lotion non-medicated. You can order it online, such as Amazon.com and you can get it at most drug stores. It’s unscented, unlike the medicated kind. The purpose of using this lotion is to keep the affected area dry for as long as possible while you are outside of your home or when you know you will be around other people.
3. Now, completely dry the lotion on your groin as well as you can, possibly using a fan.
4. If you like, you can repeat this application process for an extra coat.
5. Once the calamine is thoroughly dry, use the Desitin cream all over the groin.
6. Then liberally spray the entire area with the spray powder. Though this is not absolutely necessary, it will thicken the cream to prevent the cream from thinning out too soon.
7. (Optional) Sprinkle some powder (don’t overdo it) onto the entire area.
